James Crowe to Keynote at Supercomm

Level 3 Communications CEO to deliver the Evening Keynote Address on Wednesday, June 6, at the Georgia World Congress Center

ARLINGTON, Va. — SUPERCOMM 2001 event organizers today announced that Level 3 Communications CEO James Q. Crowe plans to deliver the Evening Keynote Address at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday, June 6 at the Georgia World Congress Center.

Mr. Crowe formed Level 3 in 1998 after reshaping the company’s predecessor, Kiewit Diversified Group (KDG), into a single company with a core focus on communications and information services. Prior to being named CEO of Level 3, he served as chairman of MCI WorldCom, following its merger with MFS Communications Company in 1996. Before the merger, Mr. Crowe was chairman and CEO of MFS, which he founded and took public in 1993. Mr. Crowe serves on the board of directors for Level 3 Communications, Peter Kiewit Sons', RCN Corporation and Commonwealth Telephone.
