TEMPE, Ariz. -- Limelight Networks, the world's leading content delivery network for digital media, today announced that Jeffrey W. Lunsford has been named chief executive officer and chairman of the board of directors. Lunsford will join Limelight on November 20th, succeeding founding CEO Bill Rinehart. Mr. Rinehart will remain with the company as co- founder and continue to work with Limelight's customers and partners.

Lunsford joins Limelight from digital marketing and analytics firm WebSideStory, Inc. (NASDAQ:WSSI) where as CEO and Chairman he led the company through a successful IPO, a strategic product expansion phase -- including two acquisitions and 11 consecutive quarters of positive cash flow -- and record financial results. Jeff has more than 10 years of leadership experience in Internet-based sales, marketing, technology and business operations. Prior to WebSideStory, Lunsford served as CEO of TogetherSoft Corporation and held senior positions at S1 Corporation and Brintech, Inc.

I am thrilled to welcome Jeff Lunsford to the Limelight executive team," said Rinehart. "Jeff is an outstanding executive with an established track record of leading Internet companies through rapid growth. Our customers' digital media businesses are growing at an accelerating pace as users increasingly look to the Internet as a key channel for interacting with media content. We look forward to working with Jeff to build further on Limelight's current position as a leader in digital media services."
