HOLMDEL, N.J. -- VPIsystems, the leading provider of engineering support system (ESS) solutions for the telecommunications industry, will demonstrate its innovative Engineering Support System (ESS) solutions at SUPERCOMM booth 87026 next week. These ESS solutions empower carriers to increase profitability by fully leveraging existing equipment and capacity, optimally aligning network infrastructure investments with actual demand, and staying ahead of shifting demand patterns. This optimized network engineering allows carriers to minimize both CapEx and OpEx without comprising their ability to meet their customers' needs.

Featured solutions will include:

  • VPIserviceMakerT IP, which enables service providers, equipmentvendors and network consultants to design networks, plan capacity and extend existing multi-service IP/MPLS based networks

VPItransportMakerT, which helps service providers, equipment vendorsand network consultants develop strategic and tactical designs for SDH/SONET/Ethernet and WDM transport networks

VPIsolutionExpertT, which enables sales and support engineers toprepare complex RFP by translating traffic demands and customer network requirements into an optimized network design with a detailed Bill of Materials

In addition to demonstrating its field-proven ESS solutions, VPIsystems will also be offering previews of several soon-to-be-released products for the engineering of next-generation converged networks. The company's technical experts will offer live presentations every half hour on topics such as IP/MPLS Network Optimization, Optimizing Next-Generation SONET/SDH/WDM Networks, Reducing Network Infrastructure CapEx, Broadband Access Planning, and Controlling the Cost of Leased-Line Deployment.

"Carriers who seize upon the competitive advantages that ESS technology provides will be able to more rapidly capture marketshare and achieve greater operating margins than those who continue to plan and design their networks in conventional ways," said VPIsystems President and CEO John Holobinko. "Our appearance at SUPERCOMM affords network design and planning managers at all levels an excellent opportunity to see VPIsystems ground-breaking ESS solutions in action and gain a deeper understanding of how our solutions can radically improve their companies' bottom-line performance."
