[Barcelona, Spain, February 28, 2024] During MWC 2024, Huawei shared its application practices of fifth-generation fixed network (F5G) and innovative products and solutions, centering on the "F5G Advanced, The Foundation for Industrial Intelligence" theme at the Green All-Optical Network Forum held by IDATE, a well-known European consulting company. Standards experts, customers, and partners from a wide range of industries such as electric power, campus, and oil and gas, attended this forum and witnessed the release of a series of innovative products and solutions based on F5G Advanced.

Gu Yunbo, President of Huawei's Enterprise Optical Business Domain, noted in his keynote speech that over the past four years, F5G has more than 50 industrial scenario-based applications to efficiently support digitalization. Based on new technologies such as fgOTN, Wi-Fi 7, and 50G PON, Huawei launched the F5G Advanced solution to achieve fiber sensing, as well as fiber to home, to enterprise, to machine, and to computing, building accurate sensing and ultra-broadband, deterministic networks for industries. Huawei is also the first to launch multiple scenario-based upgrade solutions for industries spanning energy, transportation, education, hospitality, ISP, government, and finance, promoting industrial intelligence.

Huawei launched the next-generation FTTO 2.0 solution for campus scenarios in the Wi-Fi 7 era, and the 50G POL solution for ultimate performance, meeting various campus network requirements of industry customers. Based on XGS-PON Pro and Wi-Fi 7 technologies, FTTO 2.0 is upgraded in terms of performance and experience. This solution features ultra broadband, simplicity, green credentials, and high quality, meeting industry customers' requirements for building next-generation campus networks.

Jaime Soroa Rubio, CTO of Moveam in Spain, said, "Huawei FTTO solution provides Moveam with green and premium connections to enable refined green operations and management for modern residences, laying a solid foundation for smart real estate."

For energy and transportation production networks, Huawei launched OptiXtrans E6600, the industry's first optical transmission product that supports the fgOTN standards, to help customers build future-proof all-optical communication networks in the intelligent era. This provides robust communication support for real-time control services, production management services, and integrated data services.

In December 2023, the International Telecommunication Union - Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) officially approved the fgOTN standards. Dr. Xiang Liu, a senior ITU-T standards expert, noted in his speech, "In addition to SDH, fgOTN is the only technology standardized internationally that supports constant bit rate (CBR) services in the industry, as well as efficiently supporting Ethernet services with agile hitless bandwidth adjustment. The release of the fgOTN standard signifies the transition of communication networks from the SDH era to the fgOTN era."

Thiago Nascimento, a senior network expert from TAESA, a Brazilian electric power company, pointed out at the forum, "MS-OTN solution helps TAESA build a power transmission and communications network for the next ten years. For the future, advanced technologies like fgOTN, are used to implement robust interconnection between substations and improve reliability."

In scenarios spanning oil and gas pipelines, railways, and airport perimeters, Huawei's next-generation optical fiber sensing solution, with high-sensitivity oDSP optical modules and zero-deviation holographic modeling, supports accurate vibration detection and event pattern restoration. Moreover, the solution also leverages videos to improve sensing accuracy by 10 times. Based on the Pangu AI foundation model, Huawei has developed the industry's first fiber sensing AI foundation model to greatly enhance adaptability to deployment environments and quickly support applications in new scenarios.

Sana Lallali, a manager of Sonatrach's Joint Innovation Center, shared, "Fiber Sensing Inspection Solution helps solve problems such as difficult manual inspection and slow risk identification. We are satisfied with the joint innovation achievements with Huawei. We hope to further cooperate with Huawei to promote the intelligent transformation of the oil industry."

For e-government private network scenarios, Huawei Alps-WDM and 400G solutions can reduce network construction costs and increase backbone bandwidth. OXC greatly simplifies deployment and reduces power consumption and O&M costs. The ASON solution achieves 99.9999% network reliability and ensures zero service interruption. The hitless industrial optical network solution uses the dual fed and selective receiving protection mechanism to achieve zero packet loss and wide coverage of up to 120 km, addressing the problem of difficult long-distance network coverage.

In addition, for data center interconnect (DCI) scenarios in the intelligent era, Huawei launched a new DCI product that supports Tbps per wavelength to ensure efficient, highly secure, and highly reliable transmission of services between data centers. For ISP scenarios, Huawei proposed the target network that supports "10G to room, 50G to home, 100G/200G to CO, and 400G/800G to DC". In addition, leveraging technologies such as Wi-Fi 7, FTTR+X, 50G PON, Alps-WDM, and 400G/800G, Huawei launched the premium all-optical network solution for ISPs to help customers build networks with deterministic experience at lower costs, securing business success.

Looking ahead, Huawei will continue to innovate based on F5G Advanced, develop leading products and solutions, and work with customers and partners to accelerate industrial intelligence.
