CHICAGO -- RBN Inc, an industry-leading designer and manufacturer of carrier-class reconfigurable optical transport solutions for metro and access networks, today launched its new RBNi GigaEdge 2330, a Multi Service Provisioning Platform (MSPP) designed to provide carriers the ability to offer Service on Demand. The RBNi GigaEdge 2330 will be on display starting tomorrow at RBN's booth #11552 at SUPERCOMM 2004 in Chicago. RBN's latest product offering has already received industry recognition and has won the SUPERQuest Award for best new optical networking product at SUPERCOMM 2004.

"Multi-service edge products are precisely what the market is looking for right now," said Jim Fultz, CEO and president of RBN. "By focusing on reducing costs and offering on-demand service flexibility, the GigaEdge 2330 perfectly aligns with carriers' needs today."

The RBNi GigaEdge 2330 multiplexes SAN, Ethernet, SONET or SDH services onto a protected aggregate. It can be used in standalone configuration, or as a service aggregator into a SONET, SDH or WDM network. The use of SFP optics on all ports, standard GFP mapping and DCC management and a flexible 4-by-ANY service mix within the smallest possible carrier-class footprint makes the 2330 the most versatile and easily integrated solution on the market.
